Mummabears pet hates on Twitter
Everyone loves a top 10, don’t they?
1, If you mention a great site or a application you like, add a link to your Tweet.
2, Replies are not always necessary, if you wish to say “thanks” or just ” lol” then DM your reply. only ‘reply if there is a link or something to be learnt form you tweet.
3, People love to retweet great ideas and links, remember to leave enough space in your tweet to enable a retweet.
4, Seriously who wants to here what you had for breakfast, lunch or dinner unless your willing to share it?
5, Have a picture of yourself as your avatar, personalize your brand. Unless your a very well known site, eg, Engaged, Technorati. If Mashable can do it so can you.
6, Twitter is about who you follow, if your gaining information. Your followers follow you for the reasons you follow. Use it to your advantage.
7, There is no need to use the “#” symbol Twitter searches will find your word. As will most applications. It does make your tweet look very messy.
8, Dont use LEET speak, were not all Red bull drinkers.
9, Twitter is free, so if you paying for SMS, DM your friends via Twitter
10, Dont ask “how do i” questions, rephrase it to a “how do you” people like to think there smarter then you not how thick you are.
